The Cuba GSA team labor in the community is not news in Pinar del Rio, Cuba because it is very usual to see the Ecoflag flying everywhere you go, not only in sport activities but also in school, outdoors and cultural fields. The Team Captain, Lic. Fernando E. Valladares Fuente even gets his own family involved in promoting this concept of fair play and eco-life.

In this way, his wife, Dra. Alyagna Alonso Herrera, pictured here with students, Yamile Fernandez and Yanisleidis Saavedra, is promoting GSA's work in her job. As you can see, she is developing a WWMD experiment (World Water Monitoring Day) with a kit sent by the international organization. This tools let us know the PH, the level of turbidity, the quantity of oxygen, the temperature and other indicators on the health of the Galeano River. In this way the GSA Cuba team can carry out a diagnosis and report to the territorial authorities the condition of the water quality, as well as the fauna and flora of this region inside and near the river.

As you notice people are also affected by its pollution that grows gradually due to the human settlements nearby that pour thrash and debris into its waters. The GSA Cuba Team is taking measures to stop this evil that we human beings do to our environment.
